This blog post is brought to you by my favorite color–Green!
I designed this dress from the pattern of a late 1930s pattern. I choose to give the dress 3/4 sleeves so it could be a great dress for summer evenings and will allow you to comfortably into autumn. The dress can be ordered in any sleeve length desired. The gold and beaded birds are based on a dress I own, I have also seen this dress on several others on Pintrest and Instagram, so it must have been a popular motif in the late 1930s/early 40s. I decided to go with green for this dress because I love the combination of green and gold. The dress can be ordered in a variety of colors, also different beading and sequin colors as well.
I paired this dress with a late 1930s green woman’s fedora, a 1950s green faux croc purse, 1940s green suede gloves, and a pair of green Remix shoes in the Anita style.
