Leopard and Lime

Here is one of my latest, and for now unnamed dresses from my fashion line. It was completely inspired by a 1940s dress along with the color palate. The dress is a comfortable flattering dress that can be worn for day just as it can be worn for a night out. I paired it with a late 1930s/early 1940s hat which I got recently from Etsy. It has an attached scarf and looks very medieval. Hats with these scarves, or wimples as they are called were very popular during this era. I bought my hat from a seller in France, but the hat itself was made in a city called Pari which from my research is in Estonia. It is amazing that this hat survived the war! From what I could tell, these hats were very high fashion and avant garde, so probably not something that would be worn by your typical 1930s house wife. A great example of one can be seen in the technicolor fashion show in the 1939 movie, ” The Women” along with the lime green color as well.
