Just finished the draft of a major 1920s themed writing project, can’t say a lot now, but will probably have much to say in the very near future. Now that I am done, I am devoting more time to my blog, getting my website launched and taking pictures of what I am NOT selling and more for the sake of fashion blogging.

When I started my blog I wanted it to be a mixture of modern high fashion and classic vintage clothes, have not done much in the way of modern high fashion lately, so here it is! (this outfit was a big hit with my husband who took the photos!)  the Sweater and dress by Dolce and Gabbana, shoes by Remix, glasses are vintage Raybans. I am totally color coordinated with the background!

I really do like all eras of fashion. Today I read an article on people who devote their entire lives to living in vintage clothing. I am not one of these people. There was a time in my early 20s when I did it, my chosen era was the 1920s and 30s. Now that I am older, most of the items that I have collected stay stored away for special events. As a person, I simply can not be a “vintage” person or a ” modern” person. I really do love all that fashion has to offer. Like any other art form, like literature, art, film, etc, there is something wonderful from every era. I happen to LOVE some modern designer houses, such as Dolce and Gabbana, Alexander Mcqueen, Valentino, etc, they are geniuses at what they do and are far more creative designers than most people including me.

There are also designers from yesteryear I love. Dior, Schiaparelli, Lanvin, Vionnet, etc. I love them all.

To put it simply,  I am a fashion chameleon. I can wear a dress from the 1920s, the 1960s or today. I can wear a ball gown just as easily as I can wear a sundress. The point is, fashion has so much to love, and I love it all.
